The 165mm HEP (High-Explosive Plastic) demolition round fed the short-barreled M135 demolition gun on the M728 Combat Engineer Vehicle — the M60 Patton-hulled bunker buster that served from Vietnam through Desert Storm. A big, stubby squash-head round you almost never see in collections, because almost nobody has one.
Offered in both models: the original M123 and the product-improved M123A1. Full 1:1 scale replica, 100% 3D-printed plastic, printed in sections and permanently assembled.
- Finished: painted and stenciled, ready to display
- Unfinished: raw print, prep and paint it your way
From the data sheet — TM 43-0001-28
- Designation: Cartridge, 165 Millimeter: HEP, M123A1 and M123
- Gun: 165mm M135 demolition gun, mounted only on the M728 Combat Engineer Vehicle
- Principle: HEP — high-explosive plastic. The thin-walled shell squashes its explosive filler flat against the target before detonating, defeating bunkers and fortifications by shock rather than penetration
- Family: the largest of the Army HEP line that ran from the 75mm M349 and 105mm M393 through this round
100% PLASTIC. FAKE. INERT. Contains no metal parts and no explosive — a display prop for collectors, reenactors, and military vehicle owners. Not a toy; not for children.
