3D Printed 5in/38 Cork Plug Spacer - Joins a 5 Inch Projectile to the Cartridge Case

The 5"/38 fired semi-fixed ammunition: the projectile and the brass powder case came aboard separately, and the case mouth was sealed by a cork plug that stood about 2.5 inches proud of the mouth. The projectile was never crimped to the case — so when collectors mate a projectile to a case for display, there's nothing to hold them together.

This spacer reproduces the original cork plug as a display adapter. Drop it into the mouth of a 5"/38 case (a real brass MK 5 case or a replica) and seat your 5-inch projectile on top — the round displays assembled, straight and secure, with no glue and no marring of the brass. If you have the round and the casing, this is the best way to connect them.
